Janus was always my favourite fetish magazine. It was strong on cartoons rather than photos – probably cheaper to print – and the kinkiest stories around. 1971 – God that shows my age!
I am a fan of the 60s/70s era in general – and a huge fan of kink material from then! It’s difficult to define why exactly that is, but I think it may have something to do with the so-called ‘sexual revolution’ of those times opening up the imagination of artists, as well as some of the technical and stylistic innovations of the day as well. These covers reflect those values a great deal and I love them.
